Greetings from Ssena Healing Africa,

In our community involvement

we showcase how maternity is practiced locally

in our communities

we see a midwife carrying out at natal and postnatal

education to expected mothers

and those that already given birth

teaching them

the importance of taking good care of themselves

as well as their babies both born and unborn

also she highlights about their nutritional needs

as well as the medication they need

as per the growth stages of their babies

this is vital to help keep in check the mother's health

as well as the baby's health

on standard

furthermore we had an interactive

interview with an expected mother

asking them about the challenges they face

she highlighted that lack of mother kits

that enables them during the pregnant

during the delivery time

because they are expensive and they can't afford them

the long distances they move to the health facilities

since in rural areas they are distressed

also she talked about the fathers who leave them

single mothers

at the time when they know they are pregnant

and leave them hopeless

as well

she talked about lack of postnatal and natal education

because some mothers especially the teenage mothers

don't come to both facilities for this education

they only appear when it's time for them to give birth

which is a risk factor for their health

such and lot more

are what are some of the challenges these women face

and I believe as a team we can create better

healthy standards and giving moments for these mothers
