CLAW Grassroots Empowerment Initiative

Strengthening Local Voices for Global Change

Project Rationale

While Giving Tuesday has become one of the world’s most recognized movements for generosity, grassroots organizations—particularly community-based organizations (CBOs) and small NGOs in the Global South—are often left on the margins. Despite their vital role, they face barriers to visibility, resources, and long-term support.

The CLAW Grassroots Empowerment Initiative bridges this gap by:

Creating a platform for grassroots voices to reach international audiences.

Transforming American goodwill into fiscal, technical, and relational empowerment for CBOs/NGOs.

Offering sustainability-focused workshops that shift partners from short-term charity to long-term resilience.

Using storytelling via CLAW’s platforms to enhance transparency, donor trust, and emotional connection.

This initiative embodies CLAW’s mission: uniting humanity across borders through generosity, knowledge-sharing, and grassroots empowerment.

Goals and Objectives

1. Fundraising & Fiscal Empowerment

Mobilize philanthropy, diaspora communities, and corporate partners to resource grassroots NGOs.

Ensure transparency and allocate funds to high-impact, issue-based projects (e.g., water, education, women’s empowerment, climate adaptation).

2. Global Storytelling & Visibility

Amplify grassroots voices through digital storytelling campaigns.

Showcase American generosity as a bridge linking diverse communities.

3. Capacity Building of CBOs/NGOs

Deliver workshops on grant writing, digital fundraising, financial management, HR, AI integration, and social entrepreneurship.

Build peer-to-peer learning networks across regions.

4. Sustainability and Long-Term Engagement

Establish the CLAW Grassroots Partner Network to continue beyond Giving Tuesday.

Issue quarterly newsletters and annual impact reports to ensure accountability.
